Day 1: Entering Paro!

This place is highly sacred to the Bhutanese locals in which they believe that Guru Rinpoche has landed here on the back of a tigress. The trek to the monastery takes about 3 hours and the scenic beauty is not to be missed. You can either walk or take rides to the breathtaking cliffside monastery.
After soaking into the peace of the monastery you can walk up the same trail to reach the ruins of another fortress-monastery, Drukyel Dzong and return to your hotel.
